One-Mile Wide Crater on Mars
$8,000.00
- This is the surface of another planet.
This sculpture uses real elevation data gathered by a NASA satelite orbiting Mars. I chose this specific location to 3D-print because of the beautiful pattern of the dunes with a massive 1 mile wide crater. The map is positioned so that they crater forms negative space on the wall.
60x36x4″
made of 15 square foot 3D-printed tiles using a special kind of technology called masked stereolithography or MSLA. Liquid resin is printed on using UV light and it creates a very high resolution 3D-model.
